SMARTBRO Plan 999 is the best, unlimited internet of up to 1 Mbps.

Free and easy installation.

If u have any inquiries, just email and give me your location.

the problem with 3G connection is that there is a bad connection/ feedback from your cellphone that interferes with your voice calls using the i'net (skype, ym). very poor voice call quality, choppy messages etc.

To smart bro users:
Does this also happen with smart bro prepaid connection?

I should point out that if you already have a Smart or Globe SIM card (whether pre-paid or line) you absolutely do not need Smart Bro 799 in any way, shape or form.

Both Smart and Globe offer HSDPA surfing with their sims for a price of 10php/30 minutes and 5php/15min respectively (more or less same, Globe is slightly better for the smaller increments).

You can simply just buy a USB Modem (cost about 3,000-4,000php) or better yet just buy a 3G celphone . Almost any 3G celphone is capable of doing the exact same thing the USB modem does -- get a 3G/HSDPA internet signal and connect it to your PC -- and the celphones can do it either by USB or Bluetooth if you don't like wires. You can get a cheap 3G celphone for around 4,000, less if 2nd hand. For starters you can try the LG KU250 or the Nokia 6151.

I personally use a Samsung Blackjack on a Globe 350 plan (ancient, I know) and whenever I get the itch to go online I can surf on it (the Blackjack itself) or connect it to my laptop using a USB cable, all for 5 bucks for 15 minutes.

Sun also offers something similar for about 9php/30min but I am not sure if it works with every Sun SIM.
