Free 2008 Les Mills Trial Classes at Fitness First Philippines

Fitness First Mall of Asia EntranceFitness First Philippines has begun its quarterly launches of its Les Mills programs. This two-week period is an excellent time to consider whether one should join Fitness First because the Les Mills launches are basically marketing tools with the objective of attracting new members. Therefore, discounts and deals abound.

Here are some other things to think about.

Gauge your commitment. Are you ready to commit time for yourself and your health? This is very important, because, otherwise, you will be stuck with paying monthly dues for gym equipment and services that you are not using.

Gauge your personality. Depending on your personality, peruse the Les Mills Program Descriptions and decide on which class you wish to try. (Note: Excluding Fitness First Platinum Trinoma, all the other Fitness First branches offer other types of classes such as Retro Groove, Belly Dancing, etc.)

For example, Body Jam, which is a mixture of hiphop and Latin moves, is basically a dance class. I love to dance, and, I’ve found that Body Jam has been a strong lure for me to go to Fitness First.

Compare prices and negotiate. Negotiate with the Fitness First membership consultant for the best deal possible. If you can, try to attend a Les Mills launch in two or more different branches so you can compare the deals and make an informed decision.

Is Fitness First a good investment? Yes. It’s a resounding definite yes.

In the four years that I’ve been a Fitness First member, I have seen consistent efforts for improvement in all aspects, from better services to upgrading of fitness programs and facilities.

And, they do listen to reasonable suggestions and comments. As one GX supervisor in one branch has teasingly told me, he had to use a folder to contain all my suggestions via the Hey Manager cards. Well, I do keep them coming, don’t I?

Opening a Fitness First Araneta Center And, if, or should I say when (let’s be positive here), Fitness First management opens a branch in Araneta Center, I will be ecstatic, to put it mildly.

I was a member of Fitness First before moving to Gold’s Gym. I only moved because I can use Gold’s Gym facilities for free, its because its part of the benefits in the company I am working for. Anyway, if I were to choose between the two I would definitely go for Fitness First! The equipment and facilities are faaar better and there are more branches.

I love Fitness First and Les Mills to death, but this last few weeks, management at north edsa has been far from satisfactory.

Back-to-back RPM classes (mondays 7:15-8:15, 8:20-9:20) has been “cancelled” twice within the past month. Once because there was a “power failure” and they couldn’t get the sound system to work. Another time, no instructor showed up, and the front desk had no idea about it. I used “” quotation marks because there was even no official announcement from the management about the state of the class. We were just left there hanging.

(A Hey! Manager card has also been submitted - hoping they act on it and not let something like this happen again)
