Wins from the Philippine Blog Awards to Ateneo to Disney’s My School Rocks

21 September 2008 turned out to be a huge day of wins!!! Yehey!!!

Philippine Blog Awards The only blog that I regularly read is Gibbs Cadiz because it’s business related, i.e. to the business of theatre. So I clapped enthusiastically when his name was called out as the winner of the Arts and Culture category during the Philippine Blog Awards.

I repeatedly teased him about the magic elixir that I promised to bring for his “delicate constitution” just in case he didn’t win, but I also said there will probably be no need for it. I was proven correct! *gloat*

Ateneo vs. La Salle Since I have a brother who has been an Atenista since he was a wee Prep student, I am kept abreast (whether I want to or not) regarding the all-important Ateneo vs. La Salle basketball games.

During Senator Mar Roxas’ speech in the Philippine Blog Awards, I learned that Ateneo won when he asked the PBA audience who won in the latest Ateneo vs. La Salle basketball game, since he had to leave Araneta Coliseum before the game was finished in order to go to the PBA.

Disney’s High School Musical My School Rocks When I got home from the PBA, I learned on the Disney channel that Team Philippines won the Disney’s High School Musical My School Rocks competition wherein different Asian teams were contenders. My sister-in-law confirmed that Team Philippines did an excellent job!
