Twilighters Announced as MTV Women of the Year

(bow, bow) Thank you! Thank you!
MTV, a staunch supporter of the Twilight saga eons ahead of its media contemporaries, exults, “When Hollywood dismissed “Twilight” as a “one-quadrant” niche film, you responded by giving it a bigger opening than “WALL-E,” “Chronicles of Narnia” or “Star Wars: Episode 1.” When Harry Potter fans looked down their noses, you fired back by standing in midnight lines for hours to help “Breaking Dawn” rock the publishing industry. You took over Comic-Con, Westwood and the rest of the world.” (Okay, strictly speaking, I can only take credit for “the rest of the world” part, but I must confess that I am bemused and a tad obsessed with Stephenie Meyer’s Twilight saga.)
Aside from Ashley “Alice Cullen” Greene, Taylor “Jacob Black” Lautner also congratulates the ladies of Twilight, “Hey, ‘Twilight’ fans, just got news from MTV that you, the ‘Twilight’ fan, have been named Woman of the Year,” Lautner told MTV News. “So I’d like to congratulate you, first of all, and tell you that I am not surprised. All your hard work and support with ‘Twilight’ and the upcoming ‘New Moon’ have been amazing, so thank you guys and congratulations.”
Congrats to all the ladies who are part of the Twilight community!
