Twilight Star Robert “Edward Cullen” Pattinson Refuses to Bite a Girl

“This really, really young girl came up on stage [at the Apple store in New York], and she asked me to bite her, but like in such a passionate way — it wasn’t really fun and games, “Hey, will you bite me, haha, joking!” She’d made up her mind, she got on the stage, and she wanted it. Like a real vampire bite,” relates Robert Pattinson in his Premiere Magazine interview when the question ‘What’s the weirdest thing that’s happened so far?’ was posed to the young heartthrob.
In the Vanity Fair video above where “actor Robert Pattinson and director Catherine Hardwicke answer[ed] fan questions about Twilight at the Apple Store Soho, in New York,” the girl in question will go on stage at 1:23, and ask Robert to give her the vampire bite at 1:43. You won’t get to hear it, but, Twilight director Catherine Hardwicke will comment after the young girl has exited the stage, “She wanted a little nibble, I think.”
Although Robert Pattinson smiled and laughed during and after the incident, he was also clearly uncomfortable with the whole experience as he moves to an upright almost fetal position.
Later, during his Premiere interview, Robert Pattinson muses, “It’s just so strange how I go to these events and a lot of the people who are there are just completely convinced that I’m Edward. I’m really the character from the book, there is no Robert Pattinson.”
