WordCamp Philippines 2008
At the suggestion of Manuel Viloria, I started blogging with WordPress and I have been using it for the past three years. Once in a while, I would read posts from a blogger exulting about his conversion to WordPress, and I would be usually nonplussed because it’s all I have ever known. Not that I’m an expert or anything. I attempt once in a while to read the WordPress news, and I’m usually at a loss about the topics, and even more about the details.
So, it is with great enthusiasm that I heard about WordCamp Philippines 2008, which is organized by the Mindanao Bloggers. This is a great opportunity for me to maybe understand a smidgen of what makes WordPress different from other blogging platforms. And I use the phrase blogging platform with great ignorance because I have no idea what it is either.
As I’ve mentioned repeatedly, I have Manuel to thank for TheBachelorGirl blog because I requested him to set it up in such a way that all I need to do is provide content. Maybe it’s time to learn just a little bit more about the technical side. Just a wee bit, mind you.
WordCamp Philippines 2008 will be held on 06 September 2008 at the Augusto-Rosario Gonzalez Theater of the College of St. Benilde.
Aside from the organizers to thank for putting this together, I would also like to thank the sponsors who have provided their support for this event:
