Filipino Films Win Recognition in UK Film Festival
Best Actor in a Supporting Role Ricky Davao’s performance in Aloy Adlawan’s indie film Signos (The Sign) earned him the Best Actor in a Supporting Role award in the recently concluded UK International Filmmaker Film Festival, which was held in England from 20-27 June 2008.
Three Nominations Aside from Ricky Davao’s win, his film, Signos (The Sign), was also nominated in the Best Foreign Language Film category, along with Bong Ramos’ Haw-ang (Before Harvest). Kalila Aguilos was also recognized for her work in Haw-ang by being nominated in the Best Actress in a Leading Role category.
