Camel Appliances First Time Purchase

Camel Electric Fan26 June 2008 found me inspecting electric fans at the SM Megamall Appliance Center in order to replace a totally non-rotating electric fan. In fact, in its last few days of rotary life, I had to coax the fan blades to turn with an inserted chopstick through the fan guard to give the blades the necessary pushes to make them turn. And, just in case you’re wondering why I didn’t have it repaired, I couldn’t, because I don’t know of any nearby shop which repairs electric fans. And, since the electric fan is my one and only source of cooling ventilation, it was imperative that I replace it immediately.

At first, I totally disregarded the Camel Electric Fan because its Php 934.30 price was higher than the other fans on display. I only took a second look at it at the SM Megamall Appliance Center salesman’s urging.

The salesman mentioned two things that clinched the sale. First, Camel Appliances are manufactured by a Pinoy, and, second, Camel Appliances has been in business for 20 years. Based on these selling points, I bought a Camel Appliance for the very first time.

The Camel Electric Fan has, so far, been quite excellent in its rotary power. In fact, even at the lowest setting, it’s so strong that I have to make sure it’s not facing me directly.

Hopefully, it will last for a year or more. :-)
