Les Mills Body Balance at Fitness First SM Megamall Attending a Body Balance class, a mixture of tai chi, yoga and pilates, on 26 June 2008 made me aware that my face couldn’t relax every time the instructor told us to. Plus, doing the downward dog yoga pose made me very much aware of the deplorable state of my toes.
Body Tune Spa Manicure and Pedicure I couldn’t find nail salon Tips ’N Toes, so when I spied Body Tune Spa on the fifth level of SM Megamall, I went in and inquired about their manicure and pedicure. Body Tune charges the reasonable prices of Php 125 for a manicure and Php 145 for a pedicure.
Furthermore, I was reassured by the facts that the manicure and pedicure paraphernalia were steamed and then dipped in an antiseptic liquid.
I was also surprised that their nail therapist wore a facial mask during the session. For whatever reason, it adds to the impression of general hygiene in Body Tune Spa.
Body Tune Spa Aroma Facial Massage Since I was part of the stage reading of George de Jesus’ Kung Paano Maghiwalay (How to Breakup) for Virgin Labfest 4, I wanted facial mobility, so I added the Aroma Facial massage to my impromptu spa regimen.
My facial therapist had a light but firm touch, and I really felt my facial muscles releasing its tension, accumulated from my recently concluded projects of Avenue Q The Farewell Run Spread the Fuzz show and the SM Little Stars 2008 finals.
Smooth Nails and a Relaxed Face Knowing that MAC Makeup artist Owen Sarmiento would find it easier to apply my makeup because of a relaxed and pliable visage, and the confidence that my facial muscles will respond to the emotional impetus of the scene, plus being secure that the likelihood of scratching my co-actor accidentally from non-filed nails was really low, going onstage on 27 June 2008 at the CCP Conference Room became much easier as an actor.
Thus, the thirty-minute aroma facial massage for Php 260, plus the added charges of Php 125 for a manicure and Php 145 for a pedicure, were totally worth it for me. (In retrospect, the pedicure was necessary because any foot concern would have totally distracted me. *wink wink*)
