Aiza Seguerra Releases International Album After Avenue Q Manila
SOS Productions Chooses Aiza Seguerra In a 02 June 2008 interview after the Avenue Q presentation, I, together with PEP Editor Jocelyn Dimaculangan, caught up with Aiza Seguerra regarding her budding international career as a singer.
Aiza related how her CD, together with other singers, was submitted by Star Records to SOS Productions. Things moved very quickly as the Singapore based SOS Productions management flew over by February 2008 to the Philippines to listen and watch one of her performances. Then, to test the waters, they flew Aiza over to sing in a special show in Singapore.
The Sound Remains the Same By end of April and early May, Aiza was in Singapore in a recording studio for 17 days to record a 10 track album, which mostly consists of covers.
Aiza described the selection process. It began with SOS Productions sending a list of 100 songs, from which she narrowed it down to 15 songs, and then SOS chose the final 10. Aiza revealed that some of the songs are Open Arms, Time After Time, At Last and Somewhere Over the Rainbow.
Aiza assures her fans that the music they hear in her gigs is still the same in her international CD, albeit, just a little bit better because they were able to add more instruments for the arrangement.
Pan Pacific Release Aiza Seguerra’s CD will be released in the Pan Pacific region, and SOS Productions is arranging for a tour to promote her album, which will take her to Malaysia, Indonesia, Japan and Hong Kong.
Aiza Seguerra will be flying to Singapore as soon as the Avenue Q Manila run closes on 22 June 2008. For Part 2 of her interview:
