3 Things I Learned from iBlog4

RSS Means Really Simple Stupid Well, the really simple part is correct, according to Charo Nuguid, but, I added the stupid part to help me remember the whole phrase, for there was no way I was going to retain in my brain Really Simple Syndication, RDF Site Summary or Rich Site Summary.

It’s The Indian Not The Bow This cryptic phrase sounds like it did come from the American Indians, but, one I’ve never read or heard before. This novel phrase is courtesy of Juned Sonido, who emphasized it during his photoblogging talk. Simply put, it’s the blogger and not the camera who takes the pictures, so even without high-tech gadgets, one can produce magnificent images.

Brian Gorell Lives with Mosquitoes Specifically, the mosquitoes live in the vicinity of the creek near the home of Brian Gorell, who were eating him alive as he spoke to his video camera about 5 very important things about blogging. Splat! Splat! Uhm, maybe the mosquitoes were sent by his blog’s namesake to torment him. (The video was shown during iBlog4.)

Note: I only attended the morning sessions of iBlog4, because I had the Altar Boyz Mosh Pit Party and Nick Weekend Carnival in the afternoon.

Thank You iBlog4 was held last 26 April 2008 at the Malcolm Theater, College of Law, in UP Diliman, Quezon City. A big thank you to the University of the Philippines - Internet Society Program for organizing this annual event, which is free of charge and is open to everybody.

And, thank you to all the bloggers for the links to my earlier post about iBlog4! I am amazed with the generosity and perseverance of bloggers in achieving this monumental task.
