Disclaimer to Dear TheBachelorGirl

I suddenly realized on 10 May 2008 that people like to ask me questions regarding their professional or personal lives. I once asked somebody why is she asking me for advice when she can easily ask people who are closer to her.

She said that she likes asking me because I usually offer another point of view. She also likes the fact that I ask questions instead of telling her what to do. (Well, that stems from my belief that people have the right to choose.)

All the Dear TheBachelorGirl questions are based on REAL LIFE queries. However, to protect the person’s privacy, I have omitted details that can pinpoint the person’s identity, focusing instead on the general facts.

I am not a psychologist, nor an expert in the field of psychology in any way. I have just been observing people’s behavior since I was six, and I am imbued with a curiosity and a need to clarify situations and motivations by asking questions. I give my opinion because it is solicited, opinions that may well be radically different from other people.

Any action taken by individuals after reading the Dear TheBachelorGirl posts is their decision to make, and they should take personal responsibility for these actions.
