Joaqui Valdes in the Meg Magazine March 2008 Issue

Joaqui Valdes on the cover of album Joaqui The Jazzanova Project Joaqui Valdes - When Meg Magazine Associate Editor Maris Mortel asked me last November 2007 via SMS to nominate someone for their March 2008 Young Achievers issue, I promptly volunteered Joaqui Valdes. But, all I did with his nomination is to forward his CV to Meg Magazine, and his accomplishments at a young age spoke for themselves.

Joaqui Valdes cut his teeth performing onstage, notably as Edward in the Trumpets production of The Lion The Witch and the Wardrobe, and recently appeared as Jack in the New Voice production of Stephen Sondheim’s Into the Woods. Joaqui, aside from having released his debut album The Jazzanova Project, can be seen on GMA7’s Channel Q hosting the TV program 100% Pinoy, and lists writing and directing a feature length film as his dream project.
