Summer Theatre Workshop FAQs

I received an interesting email about some questions regarding attending a summer theatre workshop. Since they might be similar with your own concerns, I thought to share my answers.

Is it worth it to spend thousands of pesos for a summer workshop? Definitely. You will get more than what you pay for, skills that will be useful for the rest of your life.

Which is the best theatre group to join for a summer theatre workshop? The best person to answer that question is you. What kind of theatre are you interested in? Musical theatre? Original plays? Nationalistic? Religious? Each theatre group is known for its body of work. Match your interest with a theatre group that shares that inclination.

I’m 23, do you think I’m too old to join? No one is ever too old to join theatre. It’s a creative medium that embraces all human beings.

Will joining a summer theatre workshop ensure a career in theatre in the future? To ask for certainty in any endeavor is unreasonable. A career in theatre is a goal worth pursuing, the answer to which you will only find out once undertaken.
