Altar Boyz Wins Award Altar Boyz is the winner of the 2005 Outer Critics Circle Award for Best Off-Broadway Musical, and is still currently running in New York and Chicago. It has proven to be so popular that it has gained a fan base whose members proudly call themselves Altarholics.

Altar Boyz Staged as a Faux Concert Altar Boyz offers a unique theatrical experience because it will feature the five member boy band singing and strutting across the stage, complete with a back up band, in a faux “Raise the Praise” concert that hopes to “cleanse” all the souls in the audience. There’s even a machine counter that states the total number of souls saved! There might even be an opportunity for audience interaction!

Altar Boyz stars up and coming young theater personalities Chevy Mercado, PJ Valerio, Red Concepcion, Reb Atadero, and Reuben Uy. Chari Arespacochaga of Avenue Q fame directs and Jason Zamora of the Maneuvers choreographs.
