GMA 7 Marimar TV Guesting
I didn’t think it would happen again so soon after the ABS-CBN Lastikman experience, but maybe as an advanced birthday gift I got another perfect day to be an actor on the GMA 7 Marimar set the day before my birthday — 20 December 2007. It was just wonderful because I got to do something I would never have done — make a scene, as in we’re talking about screaming and slapping stuff.
The Wronged Woman Character On GMA 7 Marimar’s Bulacan location, I played a character named Mrs. Echon who accuses Carmina Villaroel of being the other woman, and, consequently, harangues her in public, while Richard Gomez tries to protect her when I become physically violent.
The Slap Carmina Villaroel was kind enough to offer to be actually slapped, but, of course, I refused. I personally hate being hit, and the camera was on the side so we could easily cheat the slap.
The Vocal Placement Since it was only one scene, I let my voice get to that “real” level, which I would never have used onstage because it would have meant the loss of my voice. Direk Gina Alajar actually noted it and asked afterwards if my voice was alright. I laughingly replied it was the wrong placement.
Direk Gina Alajar As I told Direk Gina Alajar during our farewells, it was a honor and a pleasure to have worked with her, and I had the added satisfaction of being able to compliment her performance in Atlantis Productions’ Dogeaters. It was totally by chance that she was the one on the director’s chair that day. Direk Mac Alejandro couldn’t make it so they asked her to take over.

We were both so grateful for Tito Ces’ presence during the shoot and his knowledge of Bulacan’s geography during the drive to and from the locations.

I don’t think so. Not yet anyway. I requested someone, who watches Marimar regularly, to text me as soon as she sees a scene with Carmina and Goma talking in a restaurant, which is the prelude to my entrance. Hehe…

My booking agent, Mr. Ces Aldaba, has just informed me that my scene will most probably be shown on Monday, 07 January 2008, since Marimar showed it in the teaser last Friday.
