MRT Links to LRT 1
Reading the free newspaper Commuter Express gave me the great news that the project to connect the MRT to the LRT 1 was given the go signal by the government.
Although I’m quite happy with the present situation of having North EDSA as the terminal station, I’m sure the connection to the LRT 1 would be a great boost for transportation. Anything that allows people to get to their destination more efficiently is always welcome.
According to the Department of Transportation and Communications and the Light Rail Transit Authority, three more stations will be added to the MRT, namely, Roosevelt, Balintawak and Monumento. The MRT terminal station of Monumento will be connected to the LRT 1 terminal station of Monumento. Wahoo!
