My New Pet Seiko Watch
After having waited for years for Swatch to come out with a decent watch with a bezel, a feature that was in danger of disappearing, a friend urged me to shift my attention elsewhere. As I walked into Chronos Gateway Mall, my gaze kept being drawn to this Seiko automatic watch.
Orange Face First, my allegiance to Nickelodeon can be indirectly shown by the orange colored face.
Bezel Next, there is the ever useful bezel, the silver circle that can be moved counterclockwise, which is very helpful when timing workouts or any span of time that’s less than an hour.
Waterproof Although I don’t dive, I love waterproof or water resistant watches, which means I don’t have to worry when I get caught in the rain or washing my hands.
Luminous Dials The dials glow in the dark, colored neon green, which are just like the splat in the Nickelodeon logo.
Second Hand It even has a second hand. You may find this amusing, but my resistance to getting a digital watch is based on my fear that I may forget how to read the classic clock face.
Day and Time The days can be displayed in English and another language, Arabic, I think. The sales people of Chronos were helpful enough to advise me to set the date to the previous day so that when I adjust the Seiko watch to the real time, it would be in sync with the shifting of midnight.
No Battery The clincher was when I learned that this Seiko automatic watch needed no battery. It would draw its energy from my pulse and movement.
The environmentalist in me was very approving, while there was a romantic notion that my watch and I would be bonded for life, literally.
HSBC 0% Installment Plan The icing on the cake was when I found out that I can pay for the watch via a 0% installment plan if I used my HSBC card. Wahoo!

Hi, great choice. I love divers watches. Very sporty.
However, i think it’s “bezel” and not “vezel”.
Love your blog.
Thanks for the correction. =)
