Chuckles — A Lastikman Death
On 27 November 2007, I got a text from a friend, “I received this from my sister— ‘Ate, patay na si Lorna (Lorna is dead).’”
And then, my friend reported, “This followed right after — ‘Pinatay siya ni Byutiki (Byutiki killed her).’” Her sister must have belatedly realized how her SMS might have been misconstrued to mean my actual demise.
My friend ruefully texted, “Buti na lang (good thing) you texted me about your death scene otherwise this text would have killed me.”
Earlier, I had been sending this SMS to friends and family, “If you watch Lastikman tonight you’ll see me get killed by a lizard creature. Hehe…”
