The Fitness First instructor teased me that if ever the boots go missing, I can look in his direction. Incidentally, he checked later if the boot has a male version. Unfortunately, there’s none.
The Lola A grandmother who boarded the elevator I was in saw the boots, took a moment to take them in, then curiously asked, “Are you going hiking?”
The Laborer A short walk to the Cubao Araneta Center MRT station required passing through Farmers Market. A seated laborer resting from his hauling duties was eye level with my passing boots.
A casual glance turned into a double take, then a sharp twist of the head to follow my boots. Not me, mind you, the boots.
Boots made for Dancing But more than anything else, these Nike Dance Boots are perfect for dancing since it provides excellent ankle support and shock absorption, while being lightweight with air pockets that keep your feet cool.
Plus, as I’ve said, they just look wicked. It goes very well with the tennis skirts I wear for Body Jam. Now, I want to see the other color combinations such as the baroque brown with gold dance boots and the white, metallic silver and black version.

I saw these boots on the fabulous Ms. Kylie Gates when she launched Jam 42 at Eastwood last month.

Curious question, did you happen to buy two pairs of the same size? Those come in very limited stocks says a Nike manager friend. They only got 12 pairs of those for the entire Philippines. There was one day when, poof, a lady customer walked in and got two. =P

No, I didn’t buy two pairs on the same day. I bought two pairs on different days.
When I realized how fantastic they were, that’s when I requested Nike Women Gateway to look for another pair. I knew there were only 12 pairs so I kept my fingers crossed. Fortunately, there was another one in Trinoma. So, now I’m using one pair while the other is stored in my closet.
The last two pairs of Size 7 are in Nike Women Gateway, if anybody’s interested
Maybe lady manager was too drunk to recount the incident. She told me and a friend at around 2 am and 7 bottles of beer. She said she was going through the inventory for the day and saw two of the same size were sold. She then asked everyone, “WHAT HAPPENED HERE?!” in disbelief.
She’s the type who dresses real well but even she can’t wear those shoes and still look good (her self-confession). Kasi hindi sya si Lorna! Naks! (sorry, may kiss-ass dito) =P
It’s also perfectly possible that 2 ladies with the same foot size bought on the same day.
I bought my pairs like more than a week apart.
