A Veneto Pizzeria Make Your Own Pizza (Eye)

The arrival of the Extra Cheese and Pepperoni Pizza slice upset my niece. We were able to discern that when she read in the menu Make Your Own Pizza, she expected to really make her own pizza. We hastened to explain that it meant you can choose the toppings but the kitchen personnel will be the ones to do the actual cooking.

With my niece still visibly upset, we wracked our brains on what would be a reasonable request to management.

What we appealed to Manager Jan Gaffud of A Veneto Pizzeria Ristorante Mall of Asia was if we could order another slice of the Extra Cheese and Pepperoni Pizza, but this time, could they let my niece be the one to put the extra cheese and pepperoni.

Manager Jan Gaffud immediately had an extra slice of Plain Cheese Pizza served, and, accompanied by a mini-basket containing the extra cheese and pepperoni.

Meanwhile, a waiter hovered in the background, ready to rush the pizza into the kitchen’s ovens.

Thus, a much happier Halloween ending on 31 October 2007 after a trek from Quezon City to the Mall of Asia in Pasay City. Thank you to Manager Jan Gaffud of A Veneto Pizzeria!
