Men’s Health Philippines Urbanathlon 2007
Ten kilometers of “running and scrambling through urban obstacles” at the Bonifacio Global City will be what’s in store for the “urbanatheletes” during the very first Men’s Health Philippines Urbanathlon
This 18 November 2007 event hopes to attract physically fit individuals, both men and women, to compete either as individuals or as four team members. Aside from modest cash prizes, the ultimate prize is to represent the Philippines in the second Men’s Health San Francisco Urbanathlon in April 2008.
To give you an idea of what you’re in for, the first Men’s Health Urbanathlon 2006 in the United States that was held in New York City had the participants going through “obstacles in Central Park, jumping over marine hurdles on the flight deck of the Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum, scaling wall traverses at Chelsea Piers, climbing 52 flights of stairs at the new 7 World Trade Center (and down) and overcoming an eight-foot rope wall at Pier 54 before finishing the race.”
