What I Did on 01 November 2007
Resting from Driving to the Mall of Asia I did nothing that had to do with the dead on 01 November 2007. Instead, I slept like the dead until I woke up refreshed at around 12 noon.
I was actually recovering from driving to and from the Mall of Asia the night before to attend Nickelodeon’s Mischief Madness. Instead of the almost empty streets that I expected, there were clumps or snarls of slow moving traffic, which lengthened the travel time considerably.
Buying Chocolate Crinkles The only thing that I allowed to break that sound sleep was a very important 5am delivery of chocolate in the form of chocolate crinkles cookies and brownies.
These goodies have been the source of my and my sister in law’s chocolate assuagement for the past weeks ever since I discovered the cookies and brownies at a tiangge in Cubao Expo
Watching Out for the MRT A SMS query from a friend whether the MRT was open had me hanging out at the balcony to see if the MRT would pass by. Yes, it did, which was a good thing because I was planning to ride it myself later.
Posting Images in TheBachelorGirl In the meantime, I took the opportunity to post some images in some previously published posts. A very belated one is a picture of Iya Villania and Vhong Navarro for the ABS-CBN Lastikman — On the Set Musings post.
Another one is a picture of the Free Beef Misono from Tokyo Tokyo.
The Ask the Universe post had me stumped for a while before I decided on an eternity of blue with a beachscape picture taken during a vacation at La Luz Resort in Batangas.
Going to Fitness First Trinoma 01 November 2007 was the official opening of Fitness First Trinoma so I attended the first official Body Jam class.
Afterwards, I filled out a Fitness First Hey Manager Card to point out some small improvements such as putting gels on a couple of spotlights inside the exercise studio, providing tissue in the gym for hygiene purposes and improving the professionalism by a certain receptionist named Lani (who was momentarily given a break from her front of house duties).
Noting Tokyo Tokyo Trinoma Hygiene A friend and I availed of the Free Beef Misono by going to the Tokyo Tokyo branch in Trinoma for the first time.
Unfortunately, at the end, I had to write a letter to Tokyo Tokyo management regarding the deplorable unclean state of Tokyo Tokyo Trinoma’s food stations, tables, chairs and floors. Remnants of food littered the place while dark sticky stains marked the floors.
I also informed the manager in charge verbally of my observations, and, to their credit, there was an attempt to improve the situation.
Emailing the Into the Woods Manila Details Nighttime had me sending overdue emails to possible ticket buyers of Into the Woods Manila Philippines FAQs
Killing 3 Huge Cockroaches In a very weird Halloween like ending, I had to bring out my deadly instincts to dispose of an enamored with the light cockroach that kept circling the light bulb on the ceiling and then landing on the different sides of the room’s walls, and then a curious cockroach that was ambling along the sink, and then a totally absorbed cockroach bent on nibbling a morsel along the corridor.
What is very strange about this is the fact that there are hardly any cockroach incidents in the building, and here I have three in one night. And not the small variety, mind you, these are the two inch kind.
Oh well, I’m feeling quite proud of myself for keeping my calm and my wits about me as I demolished these pests on All Souls Day.
I know, the Buddhists are sighing and shaking their heads.

Eeew! Flying roaches are the WORST!!! *shudder*
I’m a Buddhist but I do not shake my head at you. In fact, it’s a common mistake when people think that Buddhists do not kill any living things including insects. EVER.
It’s called being compassionate towards living things. We do not kill because we do not want to hurt them while they mind their own business.
BUTTTTT!!!
If it’s for the sake of cleaning a room/house/place so that other living beings will NOT get sick, then killing insects is tolerable.
Because saving a human’s life from being infected with dengue is much more important than saving the mosquito that carries the deathly disease.
So kill only if it’s for the purpose of saving another’s life, but don’t kill for fun.
How ironic. As I finished typing this, I got bitten by a mosquito on my knee. :p
Thanks, Oats! That makes me feel so much better. And I think the mosquito cn read.
Ugh! Cockroaches are the worst. There was an article online about reconsidering the cucaracha, but there’s nothing that will make me like them more. Flying ones are uber disgusting, creeps me out. Sounds like you will need to use those roach gels to keep them away, because one is a sign of an infestation, while 3 is a horde.
Funny you mentioned Trinoma Tokyo Tokyo. We also had a very unpleasant experience when we ate there one Sunday. It was lunchtime and we had three hungry kids. It took almost an hour and countless follow-ups for the food to arrive!!! The manager was not even there when we wanted to complain. It was only after our long-overdue meal that the manager approached us to talk about the incident.
Hi Fred,
I mentioned the incident to a manager in another Tokyo Tokyo branch, and she promised to let the area manager know. Hopefully, things will shape up in Tokyo Tokyo Trinoma
