Sam Oh from ETC Encounter
I idly glanced at the other girl with me in the elevator and thought she looked vaguely familiar. And then I asked, “Hi. Are you Sam Oh from ETC?”
The other girl, who was looking down, glanced up, immediately smiled and affirmed that she was indeed Sam Oh.
Remembering a memo addressed to all Solar employees that was posted beside the elevator, I added, “Is this Solar? As in Solar Entertainment?”
Sam said yes, held out her hand and asked for my name. After supplying her with my name, I decided to grab the opportunity, and launched into a short explanation about the Spread the Fuzz on Avenue Q Manila event that I was hoping ETC would cover.
Reaching her floor, Sam held the elevator doors open with her hand and foot while giving the name of the marketing person with whom I could talk to. I thanked her and proceeded to the floor she indicated.
After that short meeting, on my way down in the crowded elevator, Sam Oh boarded again. I expressed my gratitude once more and reported that I had already spoken with the person she recommended. Sam Oh graciously expressed her pleasure and then introduced me to the segment producer she was with at the time.
I must say, it was a very pleasant and productive encounter indeed with Sam Oh from ETC that day of 18 October 2007

I’ve always imagined and assumed the off-cam Sam Oh to be the exact same sweet and funny girl that she personifies on-cam. I’m to know that my assumption was right. She is as helpful as a nice girl can get.
