Spread the Fuzz on Avenue Q Manila Reviews
Some of the theatergoers of the Spread the Fuzz on Avenue Q Manila show, i.e. 15 September 2007 2pm, have written about their Avenue Q experience and shared it (together with some pics) on the net.
The tandem of Lauren and Fritz went even further by updating their blog readers via Twitter by going online in the MyDestiny computer set up in the Carlos P. Romulo Auditorium lobby. And then, Lauren and Fritz wrote about it in their own blogs.
Fritz of Fritzified shared his verdict, “Loved it. Would I watch it again? I’d say yes faster than five palpitating heartbeats induced by over-eating two big bowls of extra hot Korean noodles in under 3.2 minutes.”
While Lauren Dado of Laurganism made a surprising discovery, “I did not expect Avenue Q to address the question of Purpose or to portray the confusion and self-doubt that plagues us sheltered college kids when we step out into the Real World. The lighthearted moments were appropriate placed though, so that the heavy stuff didn’t get too heavy. Thank god for that, or I really would have burst into tears and made an idiot out of myself.”
Mike of Mike’s Bistro disclosed, “It was a hilarious journey into the depths of insecurity for those starting out life after college. There were also quite a few barbs for those of us already working quite a while, especially the single ones.”
Pau Araos of Faded Boxers also admitted, “Despite our initial misgivings, the show surpassed all expectations. Rachel Alejandro and Aiza Seguerra were revelations. Felix Rivera was perfect for Princeton & Rod, and the rest of the cast was so good, we had trouble picking favorites.”
Kaje of Piece o’ Kaje declared, “Listening to the songs have always been enough, but seeing the actor’s facial expressions as well as the puppets’ actions (again, Trekkie!!!) made it even more wonderful for me.”
Then there are those who have taken up the cause of spreading the fuzz. Even prior to the show, Nicole already enthusiastically wrote in Nicole’s Kingdom “Anyhoo, Bachelor girl’s last email made me feel a bit better with tomorrow’s list of fuzzy activities.”
I gleefully noted that Tymeless of Eclecticism mentioned our pre and post show activities, “We had the most action during yesterday afternoon’s matinee show, as Lorna had gotten Starbucks and MyDestiny internet as sponsors, and they had set up a corner where you can have your photo taken with a stuffed pink letter Q, feather boas, and a sign that says “Spread the fuzz.” Hahaha, that was pretty cool.”
Aline of Memoirs of a Line proudly pronounced in one of my posts, “Was able to watch Avenue Q last Saturday and now spreading the fuzz… cheers!”
And, I may have coined the phrase spread the fuzz, but Stephen of pellegrino888 went even further and called the Avenue Q theatergoers FUZZians! Way to go Stephen!
