Pizza Hut Bistro Makati Service (Eye)

The unexpected outstanding service last 11 September 2007 at Pizza Hut Bistro Makati came in the form of one of their servers — Ms. Julie Fernandez.

The Possible Disappearance I had already ordered, and the first dish had just been served when a call came that the person I was meeting was suddenly available earlier.

I had to dash, and I reassured Ms. Julie Fernandez that I would be coming back after a short period of time. Ms. Julie Fernandez had to use her good judgment since it was an unfamiliar situation. To her credit, she appeared unflustered by my request.

The Replacement Coming back after 15 minutes, I was nonplussed to find that my Asian rolls were missing from my table. Ms. Julie Fernandez explained that she had the rolls replaced because the paper-thin covers (like the ones used for Vietnamese rolls) would have dried out.

The Verdict I had been prepared to eat the dishes in whatever state they were in because it was my fault, and not the kitchen’s; so this pleasant surprising development was most welcome.

Ms. Julie Fernandez can certainly have an excellent career in the service industry. Pizza Hut should take note of this outstanding employee and groom her for the management track.
