But someone gave me a ticket as Christmas gift for the last show date - Dec 23! Avenue Q songs area favorite especially during peak hours in the ofc. And when I saw the play, I had goosebumps during the show. I was singing along with them. It was AMAZING! Ganda talaga ng blending! Love it, love it, love it. I've been in love with the songs from this funny, witty and outrageous musical for the longest time. I even had this "Avenue Q" phase --- you know, listening and singing nothing but Avenue Q songs. Anyway, when I heard that Frenchie will be doing Christmas Eve and Aiza will be Gary Coleman, I said, "Perfect casting!" But Rachel as Kate? Rachel is an excellent singer but her voice is a little raspy. Not quite Kate-like. All my apprehensions disappeared as soon as Rachel started singing. She's a competent Kate and an outstanding Lucy. Frenchie is just a bundle of energy, perfect comic timing and talent. And she sounded better than the one in the original cast recording. Congrats to the entire cast!
