Starbucks Server’s Fingers in the Cups (Ire)

Starbucks Coffe LogoMy first time visit to Trinoma on 30 August 2007 will be memorable for two things, both courtesy of Starbucks.

The first incident was in relation to an order of a slice of Oreo Cheesecake. In an eerie repetition of a recent botched slice at Red Ribbon, I stared in askance at the dessert with the ugly glob of chocolate at the end. Thankfully, the server was the one who offered to replace it. I gratefully took him up on his offer.

The second incident occurred while I was waiting for my Venti Java Chocolate Chip Frappuccino. Observing idly, I noted that the server brought three Venti plastic cups to the counter by grasping them from the insides, thus ensuring that whatever microscopic particles that are on her fingers are transferred to the plastic cups.

I reported the problematic situation to Supervisor Cari Alacon, who immediately had the three drinks (by the time she arrived the venti cups were filled), disposed of.
