Waiting in between a video shoot led to some enlightenment about eyelash extensions. Female actor Angela Primavera kindly answered our curious questions.
How are eyelash extensions put on? Just like false eyelashes, there’s a special glue that’s used for putting on eyelash extensions.
Do eyelash extensions get removed when you take a bath or wash your face? No. Although just like natural hair, some of the lashes do come off during the period that you’re wearing them.
What are eyelash extensions made of? Eyelash extensions can be synthetic or made from natural hair.
How long do eyelash extensions last? Under the assumptions of good quality and continuous maintenance, around 2-3 months.
How do you remove eyelash extensions? Since a special glue is used to put on the eyelash extensions, it is advisable that you go back to the same salon where you had the eyelash extensions service done.
How do you choose the salon that will do the eyelash extensions service? You have to ask questions, and it is a trial and error process.
Artistry also comes into play because the eyelash extensions technician has to use his judgment when performing the service. For example, the length is critical because it may either detract from or enhance the client’s features.
Are there any limitations with using eyelash extensions? Since any residue may settle on the eyelash extensions, eye shadow should be avoided.
What’s the advantage of using eyelash extensions? There’s hardly any need for mascara or eyeliner.
How do you take care of eyelash extensions? You have to buy an eyelash comb, and comb your eyelashes several times during the day. It should also become part of your waking up ritual.
How much are eyelash extensions? Expect to spend Php 1,000 and up.
Am I going to get eyelash extensions? Considering how lazy I am, most probably not. Just the thought of the combing process makes me roll my eyes. Thank goodness I’ve inherited pretty good eyelashes (thanks mom and dad!).
