Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix Film Highlights

Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix Film StandeeDirector David Yates Imbibes Alfonso Cuaron David Yates, who will be back to helm the sixth Harry Potter film, has wisely realized to take his cue from Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban director Alfonso Cuaron, staying faithful to the themes of family and friendship while engaging the audience in a fast paced rendition of JK Rowling’s fifth book.

Try also to spot Alfonso Cuaron’s visual influences such as the magical flying paper airplane, the swinging pendulum, the gateway between Hogwarts and Hagrid’s cabin and the dramatic courtyard.

Ron and Hermione Another Alfonso Cuaron tradition that David Yates continued is the visual pairing of Rupert Grint’s and Emma Watson’s characters Ron and Hermione, as it should be. Yehey!!!

I particularly loved the King Kong may I try to save the damsel in distress but she can take care of herself scene. Gallant and disarming on Ron’s part.

Hamlet and Ophelia The other romantic pair of Harry Potter and Cho Chang becomes even more dramatic with an inspired Hamlet and Ophelia twist of betrayal.

My only complaint is that the kiss was obviously not the first clumsy I don’t know how to do this kind. Consequently, it became less charming.

Floating Luna Lovegood Let me put it this way, my seatmate, who happened to be a total stranger, by the way, couldn’t help himself from laughing with the first appearance of Luna Lovegood, and kept on laughing with every silent dotty out of this world yet here appearance. A wonderful job from newcomer plucked from open auditions Evanna Lynch

Delightful Dolores Umbridge Imelda Staunton creates a multi-faceted Dolores Umbridge that delights and horrifies, a creature that fascinates and repels at the same time. Absolutely wonderful.

Sexier Mrs. Dursley Watch out for Fiona Shaw as she sports an astride position as she fans herself from the heat, and then displays her legs in a flared dress as she balances on the arm of the chair to comfort Dudley. A bit disconcerting but fun to see.

Scarier Dementors and Centaurs The Dementors and Centaurs become even more frightening with scabbed barely discernible features.

No St. Mungo’s Hospital Although I understand that it would be totally unnecessary, I can’t help missing the St. Mungo’s Hospital for Magical Maladies and Injuries. Sigh.

Daniel Radcliffe said in an interview that he’s had two serious girlfriends (from K-zone magazine). Maybe that’s where he got all the kissing exerience he’s had.
