TheBachelorGirl.com Turns 2

Red Ribbon Choco Peanut Butter Mousse CakeThe Harry Potter Phenomenon Oddly enough, I started TheBachelorGirl.com with roughly the same circumstances as this present period, i.e., Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince was going to be released so Harry Potter fever was in the air.

So the first couple of posts on 11 July 2005 were about Harry Potter — the Harry Potter Trivia Contest and Reserve Harry Potter 6 at Powerbooks

So the first couple of posts on 11 July 2005 were about Harry Potter — the Harry Potter Trivia Contest and Reserve Harry Potter 6 at Powerbooks

This period is infinitely more exciting though in the sense that not only is the Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix film opening today, which, of course, I’m watching, but also the last and seventh book of the Harry Potter series is being released next week.

Directing and Editing Videos The most adventurous thing I’ve done so far this year is venture into directing and editing videos, starting off with a tribute to the Harry Potter translators

Most of the videos that were subsequently done were helmed by Jmi Orara (whom I am learning so much from video wise) as documentations of my directorial stints, but, in particular I was giddy about the Parkour Philippines Jam because I was totally alone when I took the video.

I just asked what the traceurs were going to do and then I made the decision as to where to plant myself from which to point and shoot.

Although it was originally meant just to show the Nick clients what the Parkour Philippines guys were going to do during the Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards 2007 Philippines Preview Party, I decided that I might as well use it to promote the PKPH appearance on Rated K

Embedding from YouTube I am also particularly proud of myself for actually figuring out how to embed from YouTube just by reading the Help instructions, something that I would totally not even attempt before.

Manuel Viloria I owe my spurt of cyber confidence to Manuel Viloria whom I have texted, “What will I do without your help and expertise!”

Manuel provided the technical know how behind the site, since I am such a techie ignoramus. Just let me write, I said. Then it graduated to adding pictures and now videos.

Podcasting Writing about UK bound Sheila Francisco led me to the BBC site that had her interview with celebrated BBC host Jenni of the Woman’s Hour, which led me to thinking, maybe I can interview people for the podcasting option, which Manuel has already urged me to do.

Anyway, something to ponder on and consider…

Being Considered “Press” Another development is being considered as “press,” which was started off by publicist/blogger Oliver Oliveros, who knew about the existence of TheBachelorGirl.com, and thus would give me press kits whenever I attended a premiere of a play that he was the publicist of.

And then, I would be totally taken aback when I would also be given sponsor giveaways since I have been labeled as “press.”

I’m getting over that fast though since I love freebies and giveaways.

Surprise Surprise Consistently, the Elorde Boxing Gym post continues to dominate as the most popular post, followed by Sam Concepcion Backstage Pics at the Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards Preview Party 2006

A surprise this month is Cheap Eats — Panaderia Pantoja. I have not yet figured out why there is an unexpected interest in this bakery.

Cake and Film As I’ve mentioned before, celebrating the second year anniversary will include a screening of the Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix film, and definitely a slice of Red Ribbon Choco Peanut Butter Mousse Cake

Thank You Everybody And, of course, I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to every TheBachelorGirl.com visitor. Your presence and support have been overwhelming. Thank you everybody! Mwah!

    Hey Michael,

Thank you very much. BTW, you have another blog pala aside from Basang Panaginip.

Although I’m sure you find my recent posts are somewhat less risqué, I’ll surely inject them once again when the Kiddie Korner period is somewhat behind me ;-)
