Emailing the Harry Potter Translators
Since this video was inspired by Harry Potter translators, I am in the process of emailing the Harry Potter editors from different countries who are licensed to publish the JK Rowling series, and, in turn, I am requesting them to forward the link to this video on You Tube to the Harry Potter translators.
Of invaluable help as resources are the master list from JK Rowling’s official site and an article from Wikipedia
Of course, challenges exist in this endeavor.
Language Obviously, language and how it is written are a major challenge. If the letters remain to be basically the alphabet type then I can make an educated guess as to which links to Contact Us.
However, when the letters are remotely arranged to resemble the phrase Contact Us or the phrase is written in characters, then I click on the last of the series since this is the standard position in most websites.
When that fails, a search for the publishing house’s email address in Google will sometimes yield a successful search.
Limited Knowledge of English An adjunct to this emailing process is the possibility that whoever is assigned to read the emails may not be familiar with the English language, though I’m hoping that the name Harry Potter and the seventh book’s impending release will make it recognizable.
Incorrect Email Addresses The process has also produced errors in connection as well as failed deliveries. Such is the acceptable result of an unpredictable venture.
