Cascada Restaurant Sliver of Silver Foil (Eye)
Of course, the fact that a sliver of silver foil was in the prawn and pasta dish did not sit well with us when we dined for the first time at Cascada Restaurant in Greenbelt 3 on 27 May 2007.
However, the acknowledgment of responsibility did meet with our approval.
First, there was the explanation of how the sliver of silver foil could have gotten there. It seemed that a roll of aluminum foil was seated beside the prawn dish, and, in its preparation, the sliver was unknowingly and accidentally somehow slipped amongst the prawns and pasta.
Second, there was the offer to replace the dish altogether. The discovery of the sliver of silver foil, however, was made at the tail end so that option was turned down.
Third, in the face of rejected replacement, there was an offer to exclude the dish from the final bill, which we did accept.
