Chuckles — Maging Sino Ka Man Afficionados
As actors and production staff relaxed backstage during a mall show tour, I reminded my stage manager not to schedule any rehearsals in the evenings next week so that I would not miss any Maging Sino Ka Man episodes since it’s on its tail end.
She reassured me that she didn’t, and then, to my surprise, asked what happened with the last episode. I didn’t realize until then that she watched the ABS-CBN series.
I enthusiastically focused on the Eli – Jackie tandem of how ‘Celine’ conspired for them to be alone on the island, the exchange of challenging words between Eli and Jackie about being fearful of each other, the hidden looks while they were both in the pineapple fields, and, finally, the ant episode and the pseudo-fearful leap of Jackie into Eli’s arms, at which point I was jumping up and down excitedly.
Before I knew it, the mom of one of my child actors exclaimed that she loves watching John Lloyd ever since she saw him in a certain movie.
And then, a male teen actor joined in by sharing the scenes that he loves from Maging Sino Ka Man, rounded off by the retelling of some of the portions by one of my child actors who is familiar with the series because her grandmother watches it.
Pretty soon, we had a small group discussing the merits of the ABS-CBN teleserye Maging Sino Ka Man.
It seems both male and female from all age brackets watch Maging Sino Ka Man.
