Chuckles — Memorable Breakfast at Antonio’s

Breakfast at Antonio’s Corned Beef and EggsAs I spoke with the supervisor of the Tagaytay restaurant Breakfast at Antonio’s, I made the observation that a certain waiter, whom I had spotted before on a previous visit, still sweated profusely, which makes any client wonder, ‘Did any drop on my food?’

Actually, I had told the waiter personally last time the same suggestion I made to the supervisor, which was to put a handy piece of small towel in his back pocket so that he could wipe his sweat periodically.

As the supervisor walked away, my friend, Mimi Orara, remarked that it was remarkable how I still remembered the waiter that served me.

And then, I recounted the food items that I had ordered on my last visit, and finished off the tally with a thank you to my sister, Weng Lopez, for going with me.

She denied being with me as it was her first time to dine in Breakfast at Antonio’s. So I wondered, ‘Who was with me?’

My friend Mimi then asked, “Were you seated on that table near the window?”

When I replied yes she faux fumed, “You remember the waiter, the food, the drink and the table but you don’t remember you were with me?!”

My defense, “I don’t remember because you’re not connected with my food.”
