Sun Cellular Prepaid Services Activation & Confirmation SMS
I’m having a lot of fun trying the different prepaid services of Sun Cellular. What I’ve done is buy regular load and then purchased or converted parts of my load for Sulit Calls, Convert-A-Load and Give-A-Load.
Sulit Calls This Sun prepaid service is Php 30 worth of 1 hour Sun to Sun calls that’s valid for 1 week or 7 days. On the I-text mode when Sun to Sun calls are charged Php 5.50/minute, purchase a Sulit call whenever you approximate that your Sun to Sun calls will last more than 6 minutes, which is the break even point.

Convert-A-Load This service is for converting your load for texts to other networks. This is advisable if you think you will be sending at least 33 texts in 5 days or 70 texts in 10 days to either Smart or Globe. By using Convert-A-Load, each SMS will be charged Php 0.75 for the former or Php 0.71 for the latter.
Although SMART has the Php 35 promo for a 100 texts, which means Php 0.35/SMS, it is only valid for 1 day, unlike Sun’s Convert-A-Load service that has a 5 or 7 day validity period.

hi all, ok na sana ako sa sun prepaid, kaso nga lang lately madalas nag loloko, laging unable to connect ko pag outgoing calls at di rin maka send ng txt, kahit na marami pa akong load… any help ?

Hi Marge,
As I’ve written before, just ADD sun, but don’t let go of your globe or smart, because sun can be unpredictable during the peak hours.
Sun’s call and text services do last for the period that they’ve advertised, and they even send you reminder SMS when it’s about to expire.
Regarding the Php 100 call and text unlimited, according to the Sun site it’s only for 5 days.
However, you have the Daylite option for Php 100, which will last for 7 days but the unlimited call period is within the 12mn-6pm period only.

i am thinking of converting to sun, did you notice how long the 100 call and text unlimited lasted you? is it just for 7 days? their website is horrible and while i was googling it, one of the top searches was for your blog entry, isn’t that the way, hehehe

ang pangit na ng service ng sun, ung unlimited call and text nla, 30 mins lang, pagkatapos d ka na mkatawag ulit, nakakainis nanloloko pa. kinuha pa ung extra load ko. ang pangit ng service . masaya pa naman sana ako sa call unlimited nila

Ang Globe gumaya sa Smart. May Php 15 100 texts din sila na good for 1 day. Pero Globe to Globe lang. Hindi pwede sa Smart o kaya Sun.
