Chuckles — Of Rats and Rugby
My unsuccessful attempts in killing hovering mosquitoes brought the conversation to other pests like cockroaches and rats. My friend emphatically declared that with regards to rats, one’s intent must not be to scare nor to threaten, but one of total annihilation.
Curious, I asked how does she do it.
“With fly paper,†she replied. And then, she went on to say that one time, they found the sticky fly paper to have been gnawed off at the sides, which led to the disappearance of said pest, but she was sure that the rat met his demise.
“How?†I queried.
“I’m sure the rugby (a toxic glue) finished it off.â€
Knowing how the rugby’s fumes are sniffed to induce a drugged state, I dimwittedly asked, “You mean the rat got high?â€
