Country Waffles Deteriorated Service (Ire)
The last remaining Country Waffles branch is located at SM Supercenter Pasig at Libis beside Tiendesitas. Even though we were both slightly familiar with the troubled Country Waffles background, it still didn’t prepare my sister and I for the total deterioration of the service when we dined at 9.30pm in the restaurant on 28 January 2007.
The Leaning Waiter The waiter, Mr. Jerry Fajatin, put his hands on the table and loomed over us as he discussed the menu with us. Obviously, he’s not familiar with the concept of invasion of personal space.
The May I Ignore You Bartender The bartender who also doubles as a waiter, Mr. PJ Mercado, studiously kept his back to the restaurant as his co-waiter shuffled back and forth with supplies from inner rooms and cupboards, rendering the concept of covering for each other moot.
The Coughing Manager The Country Waffles manager, Mr. Arvin Carretero, didn’t seem to find his continuous coughing behind the counter as disturbing, given the fact that it’s a food based enterprise.
Expansion Plans Country Waffles manager Mr. Arvin Carretero shared the plans of the Country Waffles proprietor to expand the smaller sized restaurant in the future. Before that happens, I strongly suggest getting their act together first.

Country Waffles near Tiendesitas is closed for good or it’s just being renovated. We passed by and its glass windows were covered with newspaper.
