Free Les Mills Trial Classes at Fitness First Philippines

Fitness First PhilippinesAside from generating excitement for the new Les Mills choreography, the Les Mills launches that are implemented quarterly at all Fitness First branches worldwide are basically a marketing tool to garner new members, so it’s an excellent time to sample the classes and facilities in any of the Fitness First Philippines branches. For FREE.

Moreover, incentives are abundant as each Fitness First branch sets to lure the most number of new members to its club, plus freebies such as massages from Fitness First Body Care are either raffled or given away to guests, and products from sponsors, like Gatorade, are given away to class attendees.

So check out the schedule below and pick out the Fitness First branch that’s most convenient for you. It’s an advisable strategy to attend at least two or three launches so as to get the best deal possible, as well as to call the branch beforehand so that a Fitness First representative can give you a tour and take care of your needs during your trial workout.

The Fitness First Plus branch will kick off the Les Mills 1st Quarter launch on 09 January 2007, while Fitness First Greenhills has the distinction of having morning and evening launches on the same day, 16 January 2007, the first ever.

You know, the funny thing about some of those clubs (Manila, Makati, and Metro East) is that when I called to inquire about the launches, the person on the other end of the line had no clue what a launch was. Haha.

That is so true. I talked with the supervisor of Fitness First North EDSA and the front of house manager of Fitness First Makati last night, 08 January 2007, and told them that there should be better coordination between the Group Exercise Coordinator and the reception staff, because I’ve called twice last week, and even though the information was already available, as evidenced by posters, the receptionists were still staying that they still have no advice from management. Aargh!

There were no sponsors in the Fitness First PLUS launch. So no sampling or free products. Hopefully, the other Fitness First branches will have like last time.

  4. Noelle De Guzman on January 10th, 2007

I think sponsorship of launches might be a per-branch thing (as in, it’s the branch’s responsibility to get sponsors).

Were there Dance4Life donation boxes? BodyJam39 is supposed to have a tie-in with the Dance4Life campaign against HIV/AIDS.

  5. TheBachelorGirl on January 10th, 2007

I noticed though that Gatorade and Big M products were common in most of the Fitness First branches’ launches last time. Hopefully, the others will have sponsors because I love free samples.

I was also able to go to the Fitness First PLUS launch last night and if there were Dance4Life donation boxes they were not prominently displayed; and the instructors, although they did mention that that portion was called Dance4Life, didn’t announce anything about donations for HIV/AIDS. I’ll ask Arnold Warren, head of Body Jam, about it.

  6. Arnold Warren on January 10th, 2007

Re the donations for HIV/AIDS, we’re not going to do it during the Body Jam launches, but we may have an event just made for Dance4Life charity.

Hi Lorna, the ABS-CBN launch had Big M sponsorship last night. :)

Arnold, thanks for the info! I’m excited already. :) I hope it pushes through since Dance4Life is a very worthy cause.

Aargh!!! You mean the info by the reception is totally wrong?!? They said the ABS-CBN launch was going to be on 17 January 2007!!! (I edited the above post. I’ll try to call again to reconfirm dates.)

To anyone who was inconvenienced, my apologies…

There are talks amongst fitness first manila members that Lou might not come back after her sick leave.

I (together with a lot of her loyal attendees) sure hope that it is not true.

Lou’s passion to impart physical fitness as a healthy lifestyle is apparent in her every class.

She motivates her attendees, she finds different ways and techniques in teaching such that it doesn’t become monotonous and there is something new to look forward to in every class. This, on top of her strong background in pilates and her physical attributes w/c speaks healthy living and serves as inspiration for attendees to emulate.

It is apparent to her attendees that she is there more to teach and share her passion for physical fitness than to earn a living w/c is lacking in most of the gym’s other instructors.

Per my experience, Lou is never late, never absent (except that time when she was injured on the knee). She is approachable and show genuine concern when you seek her advise evident of her good work ethics. Unlike some instructors who walk around the gym with their haughty attitude as if they own the gym and is too busy to be bothered.

Her good physique, friendly manner and intelligence, is a walking advertisement for fitness first already.

A lot of the members do not complain if instructors are new and are asked to hold classes when they cannot, yet, very well deliver their directions/instructions clearly to attendees. We understand, given the number of branches fitness first now have and the lack of industry experts available for hiring. But to let go one of the good instructors is blatant disregard for well-being and concern for members. With the continuous expansion fitness first is now undergoing, it is obvious that the gym needs people like Lou who also unselfishly share her experience and knowledge to other less experienced instructors.

To the management of fitness first, I sincerely hope you would be able to convince her to stay and address whatever issues that needs fixing (ie work place politics, bully/unprofessional bosses). As in all organizations, the biggest and one of the most important assets of a company is its people.
