SkyCable Subscription Rebate Due to Typhoon Milenyo (Eye)

My December SkyCable bill was noticeably lower than usual. An accompanying letter explained why.

SkyCable Letter

Dear Valued Subscriber,

Thank you very much for your understanding and patience during the period when Typhoon Milenyo hit the country and caused widespread disruption of our cable and cable Internet service. We regret the inconvenience you experienced due to this prolonged service interruption.

As a gesture of our appreciation and to hopefully alleviate the inconvenience suffered, SkyCable is granting a subscription rebate equivalent to 5 days service, based on the restoration of 95% of our network by 02 October 2006.

For further inquiries, you may contact us through the following:

24/7 Customer Service 631.0000

Again, we sincerely thank you for your continued patronage and rest assured that we always have your best interest in mind.

Sincerely,
Ray P. Montinola
Vice-President – Marketing

My Reaction Alright, never mind that it was actually more like 10 days that I didn’t have any cable connection, just as long as SkyCable management recognized the fact that the company was unable to provide continuous cable connection and, thus, voluntarily did the right thing by giving a subscription rebate.
