Shell Gas Discount Card (Eye)
Shell Katipunan White Plains It was a wonderful surprise to find out that the Php 1/liter discount card I got from a Php 500 purchase from Shell Katipunan White Plains was not going to be just for a one time use only, but will be applicable every time I load up at the same gas station.
From that point on, I found myself making sure that I loaded up in Shell Katipunan White Plains. And I will continue doing so until the promo ends on 16 December 2006.
The Disappearing Supervisor However, the Php 1/liter Shell Gas discount card is NOT available in all the Shell Gas stations.
The strangest occurrence was at the Shell Katipunan Blue Ridge gas station where, after inquiring about the discount card, Supervisor Vincent approached my car and told me that they were still checking if they had a discount card.
After 5 minutes of waiting, I followed it up and was told that Supervisor Vincent had gone home since it was the end of his shift at 11pm.
Flabbergasted that he would go home without informing us that the discount card was not available, and being informed belatedly that the discount cannot be applied on the present bill, unlike what Shell Greenhills did, I drove off without purchasing anything.
â€Only in Makati and Manila.†When I inquired about the Php 1/liter discount card at the Shell Mindanao Ave. Quezon City gas station, I was informed that the Php 1/liter discount is only available in Makati and Manila. I told the gas attendant that that was incorrect information.
No Nothing The Shell North Luzon Expressway gas station (North bound) attendants did not mention anything at all about the Php 1/liter discount card. And since we were too much in a hurry, I forgot to ask.

I loaded up at Petron Connecticut corner EDSA and got a Php 1 discount. The promo will be till 31 December 2006.
I also loaded at the Shell Gas station EDSA (southbound side between Quezon Ave. and East Ave.) and although they don’t have the Php 1 discount/liter, its prices are Php 0.50 lower than the franchise Shell stations because it’s company owned. The Php 0.50 savings is good all year round.

Oh and I forgot to mention, Petron also gives as much as P3.00/liter discount as well which lasts for 3 hours. You just have to watch out for which station/location offers this. They announce it on the radio, sms, etc…
Regarding the P1/liter discount at no minimum purchase, you can spot which Petron station offers this because they would have a banner or streamer indicating “Petron Fuel to the MAX” =)

Some shell stations offer the P1.00/liter discount for a minimum of P500 fuel purchase, but what’s better is Petron’s P1.00/liter discount, 8± hours each day, depending on the station location, with no minimum purchase requirement. You can load for as little as a liter or two and you get the discount all the same. =) FYI lang…
