Petron Treats Free 24-Hour WiFi at Baguio General Hospital Branch (Ire)

Petron Treats BGH Free 24-Hour WiFi Petron Treats BGH Free 24-Hour WiFi – It’s fantastic to learn that 24 hour WiFi is available in Baguio and free to boot. However, the signal can only be attained by staying inside the Petron Treats BGH store. Specifically, on the table where the condiments are, which, incidentally, is also in front of the employees’ door.

This fact irritates Cashier Elma to no end, so even if I reassure her that I will buy something when I finish, she requested me to stay outside, and when I said that there’s no signal and basically refused to move, she gave me a fulminating look. The silent treatment commenced, which I ignored until I had concluded my business.

Pancake House BGH Free WiFi Pancake House BGH Free WiFi – Actually, I had originally intended to work at Pancake House, which is in the Petron BGH compound, over a stack of Chocolate Chip pancakes smeared with Peanut Butter, but I was simply not connecting, and no one among the clueless staff could help out. The only useful thing that I was able to learn was that the signal emanated from Petron Treats, which caused me to move to the aforementioned place.

Having free WiFi is definitely a plus factor for any establishment, but the staff needs to be trained on how to deal with clients who intend to use it, and to have someone on hand whose technical knowledge is enough to trouble shoot. Otherwise, the advantage is lost.

    Hi Lorna,

Your observations are very much appreciated.

Our WiFI FREE ACCESS is BACK.

Just shut it down for a few days after our conversation and reeducated our staff regarding the WiFi service as you’ve requested.

Ariel (Owner and Manager of Petron BGH and Pancake House BGH)

Putting aside the fact that I didn’t drive at all during the short Baguio trip and hence not needing to load up on any gas, what was interestingly brought up by Baguio Homegrown’s comment is the wonderful fact of the consumer’s freedom to choose.

As he pointed out, I go to Shell for gas and Petron Treats for Wifi.

If Shell, Caltex and Petron were in a row in one street, all offering WiFi as well as gas, of course I would go to Shell.

But since there were no Shell or Caltex gas stations in the vicinity, I opted for Petron, which goes to show the effective use of added value, such as WiFi, and how it can be used to lure the consumer and how a business can expand its market base.

I could have my WiFi and eat my pizza too ;-)

And thanks to bygeorge!, I was able to correct the acronym from GBH to BGH.

Turbo500 and Manuel Viloria, thank you very much for your comments. I ran the gamut of being teary eyed to dropping my jaw in amazement and, even though they weren’t directed at me, I couldn’t help wincing from the biting words… Whew! ;-) Thanks again.

Free WiFi services exist because owners hope the increase in traffic will also bring in more sales. I would shutdown my free WiFi service if the freeloaders outnumbered the paying customers.

I would not shutdown my free Wifi service because of a blog complaint focusing on Customer Relations.

(Kudos to Soleil for using a blog post to help improve the services of a business!)

    @Turbo500
We don’t know if ByGeorge is really from the management of BGH Petron. :-)

    @TheBachelorGirl
Perhaps there’s a problem with the Access Point in Pancake House, which probably explains why your computer can’t detect a wireless network.

As for the cashier, I don’t think she acted that way just because of that ONE encounter with you, TBG. She may have gotten fed up with the hordes of regular freeloaders who ended up not buying a single thing (freeloader na nga eh, regular pa), and thought you were also one of them. ;-)

Baguio Homegrown, loyal customer or not, establishments have the responsibility to provide good service. The more you should strive to get the customers approval.

Bygeorge, how were you able to get wifi access at this store effortlessly? You must be sitting at the office upstairs for this LOL

You are so wrong about the number of people who read this blog. This has been featured in INQ7.net and other well respected online magazine websites. Many consumers review the blogs and trust Ms. Lopez’ account of consumer-related issues. Now we know we should not patronize the BGH Petron because they cannot take criticism well LMAO!

I am a regular freeloader of this Treats wifi service and been so thankful for the free access. However I was just told that they have to temporarily cut the free service courtesy of this blog/complaint, thank you very much!!!! Now I have to scout for other free wifi spots which is as rare as this blogspot i suppose. I’m sure you would likewise get the ire of other regular users like me.

Baguio Homegrown is right.. it is a privilege, and thanks to you, we were denied this privilege.

On the other hand, I hope the owner of BGH Petron (yessir, it’s BGH not GBH!) would be nonchalant about this and consider bringing back the service. Anyway maybe only 10 people read this blog. (well, 11 now including me, but i don’t intend to visit this site again anyway). Pleaaase!

Oh btw, i love ur jimini pizza too!

I believe that something offered for free is a privilege and not a right. we pay for a lot of things that are also considered a privilege rather than a right. things for free are not supposed to be abused. you are a loyal customer of shell but you go to petron for wifi. hmmm…..

hahaha. nice. skye loves that jimini pizza also. too bad she won’t be getting any for at least a year…

    Hi Soleil,

Thank you very much. Please do so. I would really appreciate it.

I was fortunate enough to meet the Owner and Manager of Petron BGH and Pancake House BGH, Mr. Ariel de Dios, after he learned from the staff that I was asking for the owner’s email address to give him feedback.

Mr. de Dios also introduced me to Mr. Jay Francisco, the Pancake House BGH manager, who was fortunately in the vicinity as well.

As I told both of them, hopefully, they will be training their staff to be more knowledgeable and aware of what WiFi is and how being a WiFi hotspot is an excellent marketing tool for the company, which, will ultimately be to their benefit because of higher turnover and revenue.

And 10man, I would have loved to have bought the cheapest item in the store just to prove a point, but, since my “mga pamangkin” love Jimini Pizza, I ended up buying 2 pizzas per visit. I went for a total of 3 visits at the Petron Treats BGH to use the WiFi during my Baguio trip (mainly to do my daily post for the site).

Hmmm…thats bad. don’t worry I will relay this unfortunate incident to the higher ups. the dealers and their manager should be informed of such attitude given to precious customers. That’s not what “service” is about.
