Menchu Lauchengco-Yulo for Olay Total Effects
If there is one person who does NOT need any anti-ageing product, it’s theatre thespian Menchu Lauchengco-Yulo who continues to amaze audiences with her talent and ageless beauty. I first worked with Menchu in Repertory Philippines production of Rodgers and Hammerstein King and I in 1990 where she played the exquisite Tuptim; and, honestly, she looks even lovelier now.
So it’s with a slight smile of amusement when I watch her Olay Total Effects TV commercial where she talks about how she tried the product and after a couple of days, how the lines around her eyes have diminished, how she regained her glowing skin and how someone asked her if she was wearing makeup when she was wearing none.
Based on the sporadic moments when I would see Menchu over the years in rehearsals, events and plays, she has achieved all these even before she started using Olay Total Effects.
What I do find exasperating is the fact that the TV commercial’s makeup and lighting has changed her beautiful dusky skin tone to suit the Filipinos’ penchance for mestiza looks.
Anyway, expect follow up products in the form of serums, cleansers and cleansing cloths from the Olay Total Effects Anti-Ageing product line.
