Background Story on the Batista Incident

Batista at New Farmers PlazaThe road leading to the WWE Superstar Batista Autograph Signing at New Farmers Plaza Pics was riddled with emotional upheaval, that’s why it took me so long before I could write a partial account of how Araneta Center and Pizza Hut Apologized Over the Batista Incident (Eye).

First, I had to overcome an aversion of going into Pizza Hut Bistro Gateway Mall because of a Near Loss of Payment (Ire), amongst other things.

However, my reluctance was put aside because of my nephews’ and niece’s desire to have a moment with WWE Superstar Batista, because a Php 800 Pizza Hut purchase assures the consumer of a poster to be personally signed by Batista at any of the Araneta Center Autograph Signing Events. Except that my reluctance turned into revulsion when I experienced having a Cockroach on my Shoulder at Pizza Hut Bistro Gateway Mall (Ire), while waiting for our take out on 07 September 2006.

On 08 September 2006, not only do we have a Pizza Hut Batista Poster but we also had Smackdown tickets when we attended the WWE Superstar Batista Autograph Signing at Ali Mall. The first 100 Smackdown ticket holders and first 100 Pizza Hut poster holders were going to be accommodated, so we were sure to get in either way.

That is why when Batista left before signing the LESS THAN 200 ticket and poster holders, we were shocked. A conversation with the Araneta Center organizers did not mollify us because they insisted that only the first 100 Pizza Hut poster holders and 10 SMS winners of the Smackdown ticket holders were going to be accommodated.

My information about the 200 ticket and poster holders came from Mr. Jun Fuentes, the Head Concierge of Gateway Mall, who consulted with the Marketing Dept. regarding the event, so I was sure about the details that I told my sister-in-law when we rushed from the children’s school to Ali Mall. To be told that the information given to me was wrong was simply unacceptable.

The Araneta Center organizers were simply flummoxed by the situation, and didn’t know what to do. Thankfully, Pizza Hut’s Ms. Luz Mendoza was there to offer an alternative, which was to assure us the first seats the next day during the WWE Superstar Batista Autograph Signing at New Farmers Plaza.
