Metro Manila After Typhoon Milenyo
It’s hard to believe that yesterday was such a harrowing period with monstrous winds that forced metal billboards off their anchors, consequently crushing vehicles and people under its weight.
This morning, the sight of a calm sky at 9am (when I took this picture) made me heave a sigh of relief that the worst, nature wise, is over, and we can begin to pick up the pieces of our lives and put a semblance of organization back into it (like posting now when the electricity came back at around 4pm).

We only got electricity last Monday afternoon.
After 2 nights with no electricity at home, we decided to spend the rest of the weekend at Punta Fuego. En route we saw the devastating effects of the storm. Billboards and street posts toppled down like a deck of cards. No coffee and limited supply at the McDonalds Cavite area…*sigh
Going to Fuego was the most welcome respite from it all.
