FHM Girl Next Door 2006 Winner

And the winner of the FHM Girl Next Door 2006 contest or the 2nd FHM Girl Next Door is Aina Gonzales. I just checked the FHM website today and found out who the winner was. I have no idea when it was officially announced. Nevertheless, I’m feeling quite gleeful because I was secretly rooting for her. This is a complete turnabout for me since I originally didn’t think she should have been in the Top 10, but her consequent photographs made me take a second look at her and I chose her to be one of my Top 3.

It’s my third time in the past two weeks to guess correctly who the winner will be in some sort of “reality contest.” The other two were Jay McCaroll from Project Runway and Alicia Hall from the Sports Illustrated Model Search.

I also felt great satisfaction about their wins because majority of the other contestants were predicting another person to win. Actually, I could have found out through the Internet who the winners were since the episodes shown here in Manila were delayed, but I desisted.
