Pizza Hut Bistro Gateway Near Loss of Payment (Ire)
“Everything that happens once can never happen again. But everything that happens twice will surely happen a third time.” So speaks The Alchemist in reference to superstitions and proverbs. And, unfortunately, the fates were proving it true on 21 July 2006 during a visit to Pizza Hut Bistro in Gateway Mall.
Black vs. White Numerous visits to Pizza Hut Bistro in Gateway Mall have made me familiar with their SOP of putting a black straw in the Green Tea glass as an indicator to the servers that the order is the refillable kind, instead of the single serve type. So when the server presented the glass to me with its clear straw, I asked, “Did you change your color coding?”
She replied no, and then assured me that she has informed the waiter.
Knowing that I would probably be asking any of the servers to refill my glass, and not just that one waiter that she indicated, I told her that I don’t want to be inconvenienced by having to explain repeatedly that I had ordered the refillable and not the single serve type. Besides, an empty glass with the black straw would probably draw the server even before I said anything.
She smiled and reassured me again, and I did not press the point further. However, after about 5 minutes, she returned with a black straw. Graciously, I thanked her for providing me with one.
Medyo yata cursed ako kung ang pag-uusapan ay pizza. Medyo madami na akong horror experiences sa Pizza Hut Sta. Mesa and Gilmore, and Sbarro Megamall. Maybe kailangan ko maging katulad mo…lalo na ako ang customer and I’m paying for it. Grrrr!
Next time……
The server also gave me a clear straw when I ordered bottomless. When I asked for a refill, nag-explain pa ko. Kainis.
Actually, we also experienced the same with Pizza Hut Bistro at Insular. Yun naman, bottle cap sa pasta…..
