I acquiesced and wrote, “Sige, pagbibigyan ko kayo ngayon.”

Demanding for an “apology gift” may sound materialistic at first but it has become customary in the service/retail world because it fulfills several objectives, the foremost of which is companies and their employees will be more careful about their actions when it has a financial consequence.

In this particular case, the financial consequence is loss of income for a long period because I’m going to bring my business elsewhere.
