Fitness First Eastwood Les Mills Launch — 2nd Quarter 2006
Gerry’s Grill Buffet- In all the Les Mills launches I’ve attended at different Fitness First branches for the past couple of years, the night of 22 March 2006 was my first time to see FREE FOOD, as in we’re talking about inihaw na manok and tuna sisig with rice, courtesy of Gerry’s Grill. There were a couple more viands, but I wasn’t able to find out what they were. Whatever, all I can say is, “Wow!”

Dole Salad with Dressing- Aside from the delicious food from Gerry’s Grill, there was the pre-packaged triple washed greens from Dole that’s available in the produce sections of most major supermarkets. Yummy! |

Line at the Gerry’s Grill Buffet- With such hearty food, there was no problem with forming a line, starting with the new Fitness First Eastwood members who had gamely donned Hawaiian costumes for the event. |

Fitness First Eastwood Stage- A makeshift stage in the lounge area heralded the coming summer. |

Nora Aunor Impersonator- The evening was livened up by the performances of impersonators. Aside from La Aunor, other celebrities were parodied to the great amusement of the crowd. |
The only thing that might have marred the night was during the Fitness First Eastwood Body Jam launch, when smoke was spotted emitting from the ducts. Good thing the Fitness First Eastwood branch has two studios, so everybody just transferred to the other studio while the problem was dealt with.
The Fitness First Ortigas Body Jam launch also had its own moment of concern when the sound system started producing a burnt smell, which caused the class to come to a screeching halt while the system was checked out.
Nevertheless, the Les Mills launches at Fitness First Ortigas, Fitness First Eastwood and Fitness First Plus RCBC were pretty well attended.
My only regret is I wasn’t able to write an “Impressed” Hey Manager card for the Fitness First Eastwood staff, which I’ll remedy as soon as an opportunity presents itself.
