Repertory Philippines Auditions for Aladdin Jr.
Adapted from the famous Walt Disney version of Aladdin, the children’s musical boasts of the original creative team of music by Alan Menken, with lyrics by Howard Ashman and Tim Rice, with book adaptation and additional lyrics by Bryan Louiseselle.
Professional and budding actors, 16yo and above, are encouraged to audition for this sure hit. The auditions are scheduled for today and tomorrow 22-23 February 2006. The musical will open in August and will most likely run till December.
Please pass by the REP office at C2-A Bldg. C Karrivin Plaza Pasong Tamo Extension Makati to get a copy of a song from the musical. And prepare your resume with a recent 2×2 picture. This will also be the venue for the auditions, which will commence at 5pm.
Auditions usually start off with the first round for singing. Once you’ve passed that stage, the dancing part is up next. So make sure you’re wearing clothes in which you can move in. That means no jeans please. This also implies that you must be prepared to stay for at least 3 hours or more because if you do pass the singing stage, you have to learn the dance choreography.
And, make sure you’re not bringing any food with nuts in it. Rep is tenacious with this particular theater tradition.
You may call 880.0710 for any other concerns.
